About the Awards
Sales of compound semiconductor chips are soaring. This is being driven by: an uptake in solid-state lighting; rising revenues for smartphones, which are packed with GaAs chips in their front-ends; a build-out of capacity in optical networks; and greater use energy-saving, SiC and GaN devices in power electronics. To showcase the success of companies within the compound semiconductor industry − whether they supply materials, equipment or software, make chips or package devices - we have established the CS Industry Awards.
